Steering Lock

It seems like there is an uproar on the forums on how to disable the steering lock. I can see an issue for a street car, but this isn’t a street car.

A quick look at the FSM shows that to to disable the lock it requires some modifications to an internal pin and then removing the lock pin that is connected to a loaded spring. The issue is that if the internal pin gets dislodged and not put back in it’s neutral position it can also lock the starter – it looks to be a safety design if the steering lock engages the starter is also disabled.

Anyway, I think this is an elegant solution.

I just cut the large pin off and grounding any sections that protruded.  No more than five minutes.
