NOT FUN at all. No pictures – tons on ih8mud. The Toyota fan boys on the other hand I am impressed. It’s like a simple service that took me 1 week to do. hahahahahaha
The service manual isn’t any better. Toyota really simplifies a lot when they just show pictures of the procedure and the best thing is they use a weight scale to get the outer bearing aligned … frak!
Don’t even get me started in changing the front rotor.
The hardest part of it all was the conical cones used to keep the hub in place. I’ve never seen this before and my good friend Dan Bouche drew a picture for me so I could have an idea how to pound them out.
It was a big learning process – one of which tips the scale in paying someone to do it.
